Excellent Quality at a Fair Price!!!
This is my honest opinion for my new Timberland boots. I love that they’re waterproof, and have grippers on the sole. With a warm hiking sock they fit as they should, keeping my heel secure and in place, no slipping around; therefore, no blisters (YEA). My toes still have room to move without being sloppy. I got my normal size (7) & the laces are the perfect length, I am able to lace completely up. They provide good ankle stability while hiking on uneven terrain in the woods. Which is where I wear them often. I oiled them with “Red Wing Mink Oil Paste” as soon as I received them, doing so softens and conditions the leather to aide the breaking in process. They were honestly very comfortable from the moment I put them on. I wore them for 12 hrs while making firewood and by the time I took them off that evening they were broke in. (My feet were still dry AND did not hurt!) The padding around the ankle and the tongue is comfortable without being to bulky. I did a lot of research before my purchase of these boots. Timberland boots offered the best qualities for the price. I am beyond happy with my decision to buy these boots!! I have NO complaints. The pros and cons of these Timberland boots are;Pro: comfortable, provide excellent stability and traction, well made, fair price, waterproof, removable footbed insert for ease of airing out.Con: NONE SO FAR (been 14 days continuous wear in snow, sleet and freezing rain, temps from the mid 30s to -10)I hope my review helps you make the decision to buy these boots. I do not regret my decision!I have NOT been paid for my review!

Very Nice Boots!
LOVE them! I wear a 7 1/2 – size 8 works better with boots. Went to a local shoe store to try them on and purchased them for $20 less on Amazon. Purchased a size 8 – fit perfectly but better with thick socks, which was my intent. I replaced a pair of Dexter hiking boots that I’ve had for 18 years (I very obviously do not use them for hiking). Comfortable out of the box on the first day when I wore them for several hours at a motorcycle show. Very pleased with my purchase. They will be great for motorcycle riding!Update: Still love them! I needed some black boots and ordered a pair of Ahnu boots. I’ve been having problems with my feet swelling while riding, and the Ahnu’s were way too narrow in the size 8. There was plenty of room in the toe box, so I didn’t want to up to an 8/12. I ended up finding the Timberland White Ledge in black on another site, only because they aren’t available on Amazon. Stick to what works!

Bought 2 Pairs, Never Wear Anything Else
I’ve gone through four pairs of these boots. I want to be buried in these boots. I LOVE these boots.Durability: 5/5. I wear these hiking, at work, riding my horse, *everywhere*, and they hold up for a solid year. Mud slogs, abuse, thick brush, broken glass– they take it all. NO problems with broken lace rings or bent tabs, those babies are solid metal. Sole could be a tad thicker, as I’ve had nails punch through pretty easily, but they aren’t work boots, so whatevs. Laces will need to be replaced a couple of times of course.Waterproofing: 2.5/5. When they’re fairly new, they’re good in the rain, snow and puddles. As they get older or under worse conditions, they are NOT waterproof. Leather treatments can help, but not totally.Fit/Support: 4/5. The boots do lack arch support. Eh, it’s not a running shoe, so it’s not a huge deal. Love the fit, tends to be err slightly to the wider side, which is great for me personally. I had always worn a regular 9, which was about perfect, currently trying a 9 wide and finding it even nicer.Useability: 5/5. You can run in these if you need to, they’re not that heavy and they’re reasonably flexible (once you break them in). There’s just enough of a heel to help with horseback riding, and enough support in them so when you get stepped on, it’s not a big deal. They’re great for hiking of course. The tread isn’t absolutely the most grippy, but does a pretty decent job. The tread DOES tend to retain mud, so scrub ’em up before going into work.

Buying My 2nd Pair
At 1st I wasn’t sure about the boots as it caused bruises on ankles and blisters on heals during the first 3 uses (1st time I tried them in the house for a couple hrs and felt uncomfortable, -blisters on heals,-2nd time I used them on a 7+ mile moderate-hard hike and ended up with bruised ankles, 3rd time on a 3 mile walk and the ankle area still felt sore). BUT once broken in, they became super comfortable, supporting my feet well both on long walks or hikes, they grip well on paths (except on loose terrain they can slip like any other boot), and keep my feet warm, too during cold weather. I LOVE the color and style. I would recommend using a boot wax before initial use, I coated mine and it helped seal in the color and water to run off it nicely. I used mine stepping in/through a creek, too and yes, they were water proof. I purchased my 1st pair on Amazon (a few cents more), but they were sold out when I wanted to purchase a 2nd pair, so I am buying my 2nd pair straight from Timberland (I find if I wait until I wear an item out, by the time I’d like a replacement pair, I can no longer find them, so I am being proactive this time). I think the value is good, too (though I can’t testify for durability as I only owned the boots for a couple months, but I’m hoping they will last a couple years or longer). I purchased other brands and more expensive hiking boots in the past that were not comfortable and were a let down. I am glad I gave these Timberlands a try. The only reason I didn’t give a 5-star review was the break-in period pain. I wear a 7-7.5-8 M in various footwear (tennis shoes, flip flops, boots all seem to fit differently). My initial Amazon purchase consisted of a 7.5 M and a size 8 M. I returned the 8 M right away as I was able to determine instantly that they were too large once I tried them on. The 7.5 M are a good fit for me, leaving a little extra room for thicker socks or feet to expand (not sure if a 7 would have felt too snug). Happy with my boots!

compré 6.5 y yo soy 6, sin embargo, me quedaron de maravilla, aún me falta probarlas en el campo, pero se ven y se sienten de muy buena calidad, lucen duraderas. Estoy encantada con mi compra:)

I live in a tropical country where temperatures are usually around 30°C and these boots are great, not too hot or anything. It’s good for hiking, riding a motorcycle and for day to day wear. My foot is 25cm long but I decided to size up to 8.5US (25.5CM) based on the other reviews and it fits great. Not the most water resistant boot, but I used a waterproof spray so no water enters the boots anymore. Love it!
