    True to size
I normally wear size 8.5 but after reading reviews that said these were narrow and uncomfortable I ordered a size 9. I have a normal width foot and the size 9 was too wide and long so I exchanged them for size 8.5. For me they are true to size and very comfortable. They are good quality and keep my feet dry while working in the barn/garden. They have a sturdy sole but don’t get packed with mud like some garden shoes. No, you can’t just step into them from a standing position but for me the important issue was to keep my feet dry with something that doesn’t crack where my foot flexes like most non-leather garden shoes do. I would purchase them again.

Ariat is pricey but worth it.
Easy to get on & comfortable.

A SHOE, but identical to the Telluride BOOT
A WATERPROOF SHOE… but the very same fit and sole (inside and out) as the Ariat Telluride zipper or lace up All Terrain WATERPROOF BOOT. Just not ankle fitted. It has the spur gripper on the heel if you want to use them to ride instead of wearing an actual boot. This is not a shoe that will pop off your foot in mud or while riding. It’s good and secure.Warning — It’s going to last you forEVER!!Cannot beat Ariat !!!

Sufficed for the Hike But Sized Too Big
If these hadn’t been too big, I think they deserved 5 stars.Preface this with:A) I’m not a consumer of this brand (and typically don’t hike long terrain-they were for a one time trip).B) Most of the reviews pointed to this shoe being too SMALL so I felt assured I would be just fine with a small foot (since most shoes in my size are too big). X-read on…Reviews were mixed on quality, left/right shoes, and not getting a new product.Well I will say that I’m glad I purchased two pairs of military grade socks (the shoes fit with wearing those).Otherwise these would have been useless. I will say these came quickly, appeared new (besides a top right shoe scuff), and they were great for my multi-mile hike uphill. They were also pretty comfortable (size 6, high arch, and often feel severe heel pain in the wrong shoes).I purchased these instead of higher topped ankle boots knowing I have trouble with blisters because of the looseness around my ankles. I also felt the good reviews (of this brand -if indeed these are the real deal) were sufficient to know it was the type of shoe I wanted and needed.I wish they would have been true to size. You’ll be taking a gamble with that if you buy them.I didn’t have time to return them because my trip was coming up (I knew I couldn’t get them from the dealer of these shoes in time so it is what it is). So I’m stuck with them. Probably won’t wear them often, unless I need to or it’s colder out, but they were worth the money given my need and their performance (plus socks and a few sets of bandaids on the back of my ankles). They were sturdy. I can’t really arrest to if they’re fully waterproof-, they did get a little wet and we walked through some standing puddles though – no issues whatsoever.I did not get blisters except for on my two big toes and that was just starting near the very end of our hike (and actually that was pretty awesome-I had read that this shoe doesn’t need a ton of braking in).I think I got lucky considering.Good luck 🤞🏻

    So comfortable
I love these! Ive always been a boot girl but I needed something I can slip on quick and was comfortable to wear all day doing chores. These have exceeded my expectations. An added bonus is I can ride in them since they have a little bit of a heel. The leather is soft and they are water proof. They even breathe well and my feet seem happy in the arizona heat. Im not sure about durability yet, as ive only had them about 6 months, but so far so good.

Try to purchase in person if you can to try on before you buy
Bought these for my mom for Christmas but too stiff and uncomfortable plus small opening for her to put her feet in, so she rarely wears them.

    Light and comfortable.
    Light and comfortable foe riding.

Hmmm, used to like Ariat BUT with arthritis and lupus the need for space is now more essential and I realise who these womens boots are never wide enough. I’m also a podiatrist so very conscious of it. More and more female clients tell me they’re wearing guys boots and I can understand why. The pinching was very obvious where the seam is at the far end of the ‘tongue’ – not enough width for an average width foot (if you have narrow feet you’ll be fine). As soon you then walk and need to ‘toe off’ with a good flex in the forefoot you are going to be pinching the big toe joint – painful if you already have arthritis – and now I wonder if it isn’t years of wearing shoes that are like this that has driven me and so many others towards toe arthritis in the first place? Who knows! If you buy them be very conscious when you try them of how much width there is and and depth in the toe box…. I also thought the way the seams were cut looked cheap and unfinished – not what you’d expect for a £120 pair of boots really. Like everything will suit some of us and not others….

These are great for around the barn and even riding my horse. Half chaps fit these easily

  12. Amazon Customer

Very comfortable from the beginning. I bought size 8, which is a bit too big, but I will use them for riding and I wear a thicker pair of socks so the shoes will be okay. Ariat quality has never disappointed me, so I’ll definitely buy their products again.
