Shoes fell apart, soles delaminated.
I bought these shoes for my wife on our big adventure to South America. I bought them in November and she wore them on a few day hikes in Colorado to break them in. I thought they were amazing for $100 – they fit her feet well, were lightweight and comfy. She was excited to bring these as her main shoes. Our first adventure was in Chile in the first week of January and it was a 5 day hike, she carried a 30 pound pack. On the second day she noticed that her foot felt wet when we walked through a creek, so I looked at the soles and the rubber tread was literally falling off the bottom of her shoes. The tread was not worn out, just tearing and falling off in chunks. I was extremely disappointed. I thought they would have lasted – they SHOULD have lasted at least a few months!! When I noticed them falling apart, it just got worse very quickly until 48 hours later the entire tread delaminated. We had to shorten our backpacking trip and hiked 40 miles out in broken shoes which gave her blisters and extremely sore feet. By the end the leather of the boot was even separating from the cushiony foam part.I would not recommend this product – Timberland claims it is a trail boot but it is basically a running shoe glued (very poorly) to some nice leather – a city boot. I have pictures to prove they do not hold up on the trail, and now they are resting in a landfill somewhere in Chile.

Great boots but had to size up
I liked this boots and were well-built, slip resistant, and seem to provide arch support. The design is casual and perfect for hiking. But they felt a bit narrow. I usually wear 9.5 but I suppose for this brand I am a 10.They seem as sturdy and comfortable as a pm similar pair I got 10 years ago. I returned them but purchased the next size right away, I think they are worth the money.

Fits me perfectly, waterproof/durable for life, outstanding support
I replaced an identical 15 year old pair with 2 pairs of these hiking boots. They fit me so perfectly that I could sleep in these. Great support for previously sprained ankle as if the hiking boots are an ankle wrap. My 15 year old pair is still waterproof fully up to the ankle and still can be used for hiking. Great hiking/walking shoe with outstanding support. Sturdy non-slip grip for all types of hiking terrain – winter ice, lava rock, mud, up/down slopes, and water soaked surfaces. Good support for a stand up all day work job. Durable – Stood the test of time. Waterproof up to the top of the boot. True to size. Year round hiking shoe for all temperatures with waterproof for snow/rain hiking. Comfortable with any types of socks. I am a lifetime hiker with a spare hiking boot in my car “just in case” I want to walk/hike or change to my favorite supportive hiking boot.

These run SO SMALL.
Please see the picture attached of this boot in a size 8 beside my Muckboot brand in a size 7, it’s a good inch shorter than the other brand’s size 7 when it’s supposedly a whole size larger. I should’ve sized up one and a half sizes at least maybe two sizes. I always wear a size 7-7.5 but I had a few people tell me this brand runs crazy small so I got an 8. My toe is squished up against the edge of the boot and it is so narrow along the sides my foot feels like it’s folding up on the sides instead of sitting on the sole. The second I opened it I thought they sent me a size 6, and the person beside me said “those will be WAY too small for you,” I checked the tag and it says 8 which is absurd. There is also ZERO arch support and no room in the shoe for my arch to even flatten with a step so it painfully pushes my toes against the edge when I take a step. Normally I would fix that with an arch support insert but again, it’s so tight I can feel my heartbeat in my foot with it on and no additional insole so there’s no way I could put in an insole and get my foot inside the boot. Seems like a good quality shoe other than being absolutely mislabeled on sizes. The cloth part looks green and not tan like it looks in the Amazon pics but it’s actually prettier in person. I’m extremely bummed it runs SOOO much smaller than stated size. I got them for a hiking trip and won’t have time to return them for a bigger size before the trip. I really feel like for for almost 120 bucks they should have accurate sizes.

Rubs at ankle bone
Size 7.5 (I wear a size 7 in regular shoes and trail runners, but always go up 1/2″ with heavier hiking boots.) I personally do not like these Timberlands. I’ve owned several pair, but never this style and these are my least favorite. I do not like the ankle cut. They rub and cause sores at my ankles. I like the tread and the rest of the fit, just not the ankle. I’ve worn them 3 times on long, muddy hikes hoping they might “break in”, but they have not. They’re just too uncomfortable for me. I’m hanging up this pair and going to the Mt. Maddsen with a bit of lower cut.

The most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I am going hiking in the Grand Canyon in a month so bought these for that. However, I tried them on for a day to break them in (but they didn’t even need breaking in!) and they were so comfortable that I wear them all the time now. They are very soft and warm on the inside, string and durable on the outside. They are very supportive which is great as I suffer from weak ankles. Excellent boots and even better price getting them from Amazon!

Las mejores botas para estar caminando por horas las uso a diario

I have just received my boots. They seem good quality. They are sturdy and provide good ankle support. The inside of the shoes is all covered in a different material. I’m a size 7 and this boot is true to size. Sole of the boots seems to have good grip. Both the front and back of the boot are of strong materials so I feel like I couldn’t easily hurt my feet when hiking. Can’t wait to try them on on my next hike.
