    Practice the technique
If you had asked me, before I used this, if I had hair on my face I would have told you no. I am 40, and a daily makeup wearer with a magnifying mirror, but I just never noticed it. I actually bought these because my dry, sensitive skin tends to break out if I don’t exfoliate, and heard that dermaplaning was a great way to exfoliate, so I figured I’d give it a shot.As I started the process, I couldn’t believe ALL THE PEACH FUZZ that piled up from just a small area. I was sitting down and wearing black pants, so that’s where it accumulated and it was nothing short of shocking! Then, after feeling how soft my skin felt and how smooth my makeup went on afterward- I’m now hooked. My makeup doesn’t get cakey or anything anymore, and my face looks really fresh all day. I now look forward to dermaplaning because it’s so satisfying.AND NO, IT DOESN’T GROW BACK THICKER! And it doesn’t get prickly. I promise. It’s been years that I’ve been using facial razors and still don’t notice when the peach fuzz grows back in because it’s still soft, light, and thin.I’ve upgraded to a clinical dermaplaner at this point, which is basically a scalpel, but I DON’T recommend doing that until you get the hang of using these- they’re much safer, which is why I recommend these ones specifically. They also stay sharp much longer than other brands I have tried.I see a lot of pictures of scratches and cuts in these reviews, which are mostly due to user error (but that’s okay, don’t give up, it just takes a bit of practice!) Just explain the scratches away at work by saying you rescue orphaned, feral kittens or something on the weekends and learn the technique below. Also remember that as the razor gets dull it can skip and cut as well, so I usually only use it 2-3 times before tossing it.DON’T use it like how you shave your legs, it’s a completely different technique than you use to shave anywhere else on your body. As a matter of fact, it’s the exact opposite of how you shave anywhere else. You don’t use it how you see guys shave their face, either.Tips:1. Wash your face like usual and let it FULLY dry. No moisturizer or anything else. You want dry and smooth.2. Hold the razor at a 45 degree angle to your face and very lightly, make tiny strokes in a downward direction. By tiny strokes, I mean maybe just a 1/4 of an inch before moving it back up and down another 1/4 inch. You know, it’s a similar hand motion to brushing your teeth, now that I think of it.3. Start on the side of your cheek below the temple, in the “sideburns” area moving down toward your jawline, as this is the most forgiving area.4. The tighter your skin, the better, so I often use my left hand to give the skin a little tug from one side to flatten out any wrinkles (like on my forehead) or anywhere else the razor might grab if it’s not tight, because that can make the razor skip and cut you.Look up videos on YouTube of “dermaplaning” and that will likely help much more than my description.Your skin might be a little angry afterward, so do it at night to give it a chance to calm down. I use witch hazel on a cotton ball as a toner and a Cetaphil moisturizer before bed, and by the next morning there is no redness left. Any other serums tend to burn, so I take the night off from those as well.Good luck!

    Excellent inexpensive option!
My first time ever dermaplaning and wow!!! I was nervous about stubble afterwards or it hurting, and neither were true! The handle was shaped well, and the blade was sharp, plus it comes with their own cover and an extra cover to do your brows. I didn’t do my brows but my peachfuzz is gone and my skin feels silky smooth! Without telling anyone what I did, I asked my brother and he said I looked younger, my boyfriend said my hair looked good. 🤷‍♀️🤣 so either way, it’s a win win!

Got my vellum hairs, no cuts!
I have vellum hairs my electric face trimmer can’t reach. I’ve seen makeup influencers with big bucks using this product to dermaplane, so I tried it. Light, 45°angle and no cuts! I need aftercare serum. Certain places were the slightest bit sensitive and that’s why. Used a moisturizer with aloe in it for now. Will repurchase. Like their leg razors, I will use the current one a few more shaves. Need a gel cleanser? Schick makes one- their Hydro Silk. Affordable, especially on sale.P.S. I used hyaluronic acid serum to shave with, not oil as I’m low on funds, hence the very minor “burn” that was gone within thirty minutes. No red, irritated face with moisturizer after.

    Disposable Dermaplane Razor
I’ve been using these for about 5 years and overall they get the job done removing the peach fuzz from my age 50s face, though the blade seems to dull faster than it used to (my facial hair hasn’t gotten any more coarse – still just the same peach fuzz).I used to be able to get 3-4 uses from one blade. I would clean the blade with a Q-tip soaked in alcohol between uses. But they must have changed something in the quality of the plastic handle because now the alcohol disintegrates the plastic and the blade falls off.So these shavers are now literally disposable. One use and done.Ideally, shaving my face every two weeks would be perfect. But between it being tedious (have to take my time and concentrate) and it being yet another task on weekends, I end up doing it every 6-7 weeks. But that’s just me.Also there is somewhat of a learning curve. First I watched a couple of how-to videos on YouTube. My face can have some sensitivity from time to time, so I always take my time and go easy. You definitely don’t want to be in a hurry.I’ve also learned if I’m wanting to shave for a big event to do it a couple of days in advance. That way if I do get any redness or little cuts they have time to calm down and heal.Speaking of cuts – the end tip of the blade is very sharp (see my photo where it’s marked). It will very easily slice your skin, similar to a paper cut.I think it’s a flaw in manufacturing. But anyway, once you experience a couple of these cuts you catch on really quick with your technique and learn to avoid letting that end of the blade touch your skin.Despite the potential hazards I do recommend these face shavers. For the price they work well. Just be sure not to be in a rush, and get a little practice using them.

    Glowing, smooth skin
Product is used for derma planing for a super easy way to remove dead skin and facial hair. It leaves your skin smooth, glowing, and refreshed. Removing fine facial hair and dead skin helps your skin care products to absorb more effectively and even helps makeup go on more smoothly. Use every couple of days for best results. The blades last surprisingly long.

    Bought like multiple times.
Super sharp idk id try to dull them down on the back of your hand before going straight onto your face. I got small little cuts if you take your time and are very careful you should be fine. They work great though once you get past that fresh razor stage. Perfect for eyebrows and any other facial hair you may have.

  7. Meagan

I honestly only bought these little things because I got an at-home IPL device that works best on freshly-shaven hair, and I didn’t feel like using a normal razor on my upper lip/sideburn area. I’d heard about these little single-blade razors before, and the reviews were amazing, so I gave them a try. And WOW. I tried small sections at first because I REALLY did not want to deal with a nasty stubble situation all over my face, but by now I’m using it all over my face and neck, and have recommended it to my younger sister.Okay, first of all, if you’re looking for something besides waxing to deal with upper lip/sideburn/chin hair, this is a great choice. My hair isn’t TOO dark, but definitely NOT blonde in these areas, and this is SUCH a quick and easy solution. You do notice the hair growing back, but it doesn’t grow back thicker (that IS a myth). If your hair isn’t too dark or thick, you’d be able to use this twice a week on these areas without worrying about stubble. And the super nice thing is that even if your hair IS dark and/or thick, you just do it more often. It takes two seconds, you don’t need to wet your face or use creams or anything, so I think you could probably use these razors every day to keep the stubble at bay. At the very least, this is a GREAT quick-fix for in-between waxes.Second: Eyebrows. My eyebrows, at least, grow back quickly and are VERY dark, so this is definitely just a quick-fix if I don’t have time to pluck them for some reason. However! Those fine hairs floating around your brows that are a PAIN to pluck have breathed their last–I used to wax those off but this is WAY faster and WAY more precise. You get such a sharp, clean line with all those little hairs gone, and since they don’t grow back all at once and aren’t very thick, shaving them is a no-brainer now that I’ve seen how well it works. Finally, your all-around face. I’ve never much cared about the fine blonde peach-fuzz that everyone has on their face, but I tried shaving it off and I will never go back. Mostly because shaving does such an amazing job of exfoliating your skin, but also because my makeup goes on so much more flawlessly on a hair-free face. It’s so much smoother and more natural-looking not sitting on top of hair! I do this 1-2 times a week, and that’s enough for me. You do NOT see these hairs growing back as stubble–but you CAN feel them if you feel along your face moving against the growth. Not a big deal though–if that bothers you, just shave again! It’s so quick!

Mt skin looks more even and natural feels so smooth too I would definitely recommend this.
