EDIT 3: Since I’m unable to do a separate review on the replacement the company sent, I changed this one to 5 stars and am leaving all the review text intact. Just know that the first remarks (marked with *) about a journal with wrinkles and weather/heat/water-like damage refer to the first journal I received and reviewed at1 star, and the second set of descriptions (marked **) belong to the replacement the company sent me, rated at 5 stars.*I was instantly in love with the cover, the silver wash on the page edges, and the bookmark. Beautiful and exactly as advertised, and the cover has a marbled sheen and texture that’s appealing as well. However, be aware that the pages are not at all like those in their bullet journals. They feel pretty low GSM. They are heavily rippled where they are fixed to the spine and my fountain pens are visible through, and make impressions on, the paper. It Is still functional (I don’t have to use fountain pens) and the visibility isn’t bad enough you can’t write on the other side of the pages, but the quality is enough of a step down and the page ripple is so irritating and unattractive that I wouldn’t give it as a gift. Hence 4 stars not 5.*EDIT: After using this journal for several days, I’ve found the pages are so thin and the ripple in them so stubborn that it’s like it was dropped in water. They are problematic to write on and difficult to keep open or turn. I’m reducing my review to 1 star so people read it and because had I not written on several pages, I would return it.EDIT 2: The seller reached out immediately after this review to offer a refund or replacement. I chose the replacement and am awaiting a journal I hope I’ll enjoy as much as I have others from the company. Thanks to them. I’m leaving the review as is for this product but hope to give a great review of the new one.**I’ll just embellish my praise for the quality of the exterior: I loved the delicate, magical design on the deep blue cover, the silver wash on the page edges, and the high quality bookmark that went perfectly with the journal. Beautiful and exactly as advertised, and the cover has a marbled sheen and texture that’s appealing as well.Inside, the pages are lush and thick and lie flat when opened, no wrinkle or crease. They easly absorb any inks I’ve tried (other than alcohol markers of course, which are not meant for this type of paper). They are smooth but not too glossy for all my journaling supplies, washi tapes, and stickers; if it doesn’t stick, it’s the sticker maker at fault, because I’ve tried products from a *lot* of vendors on Tiefossi 160gsm paper and have not yet been disappointed.Just to wrap up, wonderful customer service experience! Thank you for being immediately so great. It’s what I expected from a company whose products are so good that I’ve already placed an order for another journal since we made this arrangement and have others in my queue as gifts.I can’t comment on whether the 100gsm paper journal experience was a fluke of poor construction on that one book, something to do with it shipping through areas of extreme heat last week, conditions in a specific warehouse or truck, or what. The company likely doesn’t know either, since the journal itself has a 4.5+ rating. But they didn’t care, they just made it good. For that I thank them both here and with future business. Best bullet journal I’ve ever owned!
What really sets this journal apart for me is the little markers indicating the center of the pages. Whether I’m using the center or not, my natural inclination is to find the center of the page and I’ll end up counting the boxes multiple times to make sure it’s even but this journal completely eliminates that impulse. I’ve owned dozens of bullet journals over the years and never seen this feature before.Other things I love about this journal:it has a functional pocket in the backthe cover is soft but seems to be quite durable. I’m not overly worried about it getting scratched upNumbered pagesThick paper, minimal bleeding with multiple layers of water based markers. Beautiful Journal
My daughter is a lover of books and likes to make journal entries about those she has read. She received several journals for Christmas but this one was by far her favorite. It is beautiful and the perfect size to fit in her bag. The pages are a good thickness, so she doesn’t have to worry about the ink bleeding through. The binding is solid and the foiling on the cover and page edges is gorgeous. It came with a bookmark as well. She was very pleased.

This is a very pretty and very practical bullet journal. I love that the pages are thick enough to use markers and not have it bleed through, I love the numbered pages, and I appreciate the three options to mark pages (two ribbons and one bookmark). The paper also has a very good texture both to write on with a fountain pen and to colour with pencils, which is a balance between nicely smooth and slightly grainy.The only downside in my opinion were the first few completely blank pages, I would rather have had them lined or dotted to use as index pages (I lined them myself but it didn’t end up as clean as I’d have wanted haha).Other than that I absolutely love it, I would absolutely recommend it and I’m definitely going to buy my next bullet journal from Tiefossi.
