Best insulated stainless steel bottle EVER – keeps drinks cold, but the lid is the best part!
I can’t believe how much I love this water bottle. I mean, it’s a water bottle. For the record, I did NOT jump on the Stanley fan wagon when there was all the crazy hype about Stanley cups. I recently started replacing my plastic water bottles with stainless steel double-walled bottles and I have four requirements. I’m picky.1. It must have a way to lock it closed in case I want to throw it in a bag.2. It needs to have a way to carry it (loop of some sort).3. It needs to have a decent opening for drinking (NOT a straw I have to clean)!4. It needs to have a good threaded top I can take off to add ice to my water if I want to.This bottle is perfect! I have some bottles we got at Costco several years ago, as well as another name brand, and the mouthpiece/opening on this is just amazing! It sounds silly, but I can gulp and take big drinks much easier with this one, and I swear it keeps drinks colder longer than my other bottles. It doesn’t leak, it’s extremely well made (I mean, c’mon – Stanley has been making thermoses since 1913), and it looks nice (if that matters). This is hands down my favorite bottle. I wish they weren’t so expensive because I really want another one! My husband wasn’t used to it and his only complaint was that because the mouthpiece isn’t just a round tube-like opening, you do have to make sure you drink from it straight on (not with the bottle turned sideways or you will spill water). Also, the hinged lid is sturdy and doesn’t try to close on your face while you’re drinking. 🙂

Locking lid – keeps cold drinks cold, hot drinks hot – for hours!!
I bought the color on clearance ($20). Love this tumbler! It’s pretty, easy to clean, and the lid locks so there are no spills. Its fairly light weight – even when filled up. I take it with me daily in the car, in my volunteer work, walking, etc… It has a little metal handle that you can use to clip to your backpack or hold with your fingers. It keeps drinks cold for 24 hours!! I have opened it the next day to find ice still in it. I have also had hot drinks in it. Works like a charm! Would have one in every color, if I could afford it.

Love this water bottle. Great size, does not spill. I was looking for something without a straw. It’s very easy to clean. I use it daily for my cold brew. Keeps it cold all morning.

Sleek and sexy water bottle
Keeps beverages cold or hot for hours, looks great, easy to clean, and fits in the cars cup holder. Downside would be that the lid flips down when drinking but that only makes me look kind of stupid so who cares.

It’s a sturdy, high-quality product from Stanley, there’s really not “much” to complain about.However.Its advertisement for travel leaves a few buts lingering in my thoughts. Firstly, for straw lid users it’s not much of a problem, but the more purpose-fitting push-button lid with a spout makes for a bit of an awkward drinking experience towards the bottom of your bottle. The lid simply doesn’t tilt back far enough, not making it quite to 90 degrees.The big problem is that the more you tilt the bottle, the more that lid gets in your face. Hardly a deal-breaker, but just something that can become annoying or awkward over time. Similarly awkward is the sort of “catch all” handle… thing, at the back of the lid. It’s not quite the larger and more ergonomic handles of the hydro flasks, nor is it the more shapely style Takeya uses. It’s very much a metal square with hard plastic on it. I would have rather seen TPU in use for the handle to make it at least feel more comfortable, or something a little more suited towards being clipped or secured to things.Lastly, I’d have loved to have seen a protective bumper like Takeya offers. Marketing the bottle as a “travel bottle” encourages the thought of a bit more of a rugged use case. Not necessarily deep in the woods, but maybe putting the bottle down on a rock or something of the sort. The stainless steel construction is a considerable boon in terms of value, but concerns of scratching or damage, as well as having the bottle slip around exist. Having a silicon- or similar material- removable protective bumper (as an option) assuage those concerns quite well.If you’re taking this as a “casual” travel bottle on say, a vacation to a hotel or resort, there’s really no reason to not get it. Day excursions or longer distance travel- as in, the act of travel via car or something- see it as a very attractive purchase. It fits in regular cup-holders, has a true peace of mind seal on the lid, and isn’t overly large or heavy for its capacity.There’s plenty of reasons to purchase this bottle, but they vastly lean towards metropolitan consumption rather than something that can dip its toes into the outdoors.
