I am embarrassed to admit this but I have never cleaned my washer before. Sure, I have wiped off the top and sides with a wet rag but I have never cleaned the inside.Let me say that you don’t even know how dirty your washer is until you use one of these tabs and then see the “after”. My washer looks sparkling clean on the inside. Why have I waited so long to get these?!? They are so simple to use, just unwrap one tablet, place in the washer and run a warm cycle without clothes in it. If your washer smelled a little mildewy before, this will clear it right up! The best part, no scrubbing! The tablet does all the work!

Effective Maintenance Tablets for Washers, Even a Clean Washer Benefits
I ordered these tablets even though my washer wasn’t dirty – or at least I hoped so! I bought them mainly to help maintain it and prevent buildup. As the instructions state, I ran a hot wash, and the tablet dissolved well and left a fresh, clean scent.My front loader isn’t that old, but I understand the problems that can arise with them – I always had top loaders before this one. My nephew, who repairs appliances, advised me that once buildup and mold set in, they’re much harder to remove. It’s better to maintain the washer with regular cleanings.I’m already doing a few things that help: I don’t use too much detergent (you need far less than most realize), I skip fabric softener and use white vinegar instead, and my city water is, fortunately, soft not hard. I also don’t have a lot of heavily soiled laundry. Doing the opposite of those things isn’t wrong, but it can lead to the kind of buildup that eventually causes problems.All the tablet ingredients have a purpose: they clean, soften the water, remove residue, deodorize, protect against corrosion, and prevent minerals in the water from interfering with the cleaning process.I can’t comment on how these tablets handle heavy residue because my newer machine doesn’t have any. But given how I use the washer as mentioned above, I’ll probably continue to use them about once a month for routine maintenance. A small price to pay for peace of mind.

These cleaning tablets are easy to use. I personally don’t notice my washing machine being that dirty anyhow, so i can’t say i see a difference using them. But it gives me the feeling that I’m cleaning it, so I’ll use them.
