Enjoy the fit, comfort, and color
Ordered a small (couldn’t decide between small and medium, but I think I’m satisfied with the more form-fitting look). Have had many compliments on the color. The darker shoulders and hood are supposed to be water resistant. I’ve found that water wicks off the jacket. Also spilled some coffee down the front on day 1, and it wicked of and didn’t leave a stain! So far not leaking any feathers so it seems to be of good quality.

Warmth and comfort
I have only had the jacket for a week, but I can say this jacket is so warm and comfortable. I wore it as an outer layer in 26 degree F weather in the southeastern US and was very warm (I am cold natured). I am 5’5″ about 125 lb and the small fits comfortably with a base layer under it. The pockets are warm, the hood fits well. It is also lightweight and soft. This is the first down puffer coat I have ever bought and I am happy I did. My last coat from OR lasted me 12 years of both casual and camping/hiking wear, so I am happy to spend the money on their products for the quality.

Great coat
Got toward end of last winter so only wore a few times (which is why I didn’t give 5 stars) but was very warm and comfy. Love the length and how it looks. Was a bit shinier than I expected but I really like it and it feels well made.

Lives Up to OR Reputation of High Quality Affordable Gear
i am unusually bias toward this superior outdoor gear brand. their products are not only affordable, but they consistently craft products that perform in the manner described in the settings in which they are needed to. this jacket is no different.i first wore it on an 18 degree day and it felt under-stuffed for the temperatures. but once i got moving the jacket seemed to begin to warm me perfectly, not too hot or too chilled. the hood is amazing and when zipped all the way, the material covers my chin very nicely. and when wind or precipitation begin, this jacket truly is an impenetrable layer against it. the shoulders have extra resistant material for back pack straps not to pierce the down.the fit in a size L is more snug than what i would like, but i tend to prefer merino (thin) base layers under down for the best insulation and heat retention (even when wet). the sleeves come perfectly to my wrist and not an inch longer than need be. biking this may seem a bit short, but this jacket is not for that. the best feature (IMO) and something a lot of manufacturers are moving away from is the chest pocket. it is not only convenient, it fits an iPhone mini, Chapstik, $$, ect. there are two outside zippered pockets as well which to me, could be a little larger and also a bit lower on the body, but they stay closed in action. there is inside open pockets for stuffing the beanie or gloves should it get too warm.this is a 5-star jacket that i scored at a 3.5 star price on Amazon. if this OR down model does not suit your tastes, i would explore their other offerings as they have outperformed most others but for maybe Patagonia (without the premium price tag).
