Solid Rowing Machine for a great price
When I ordered this there were a number of mixed reviews, but it had a great Cyber Monday price so I gave it a shot.I’ve used the row machine at my local gym a few times and I wanted to have a similar model (using air resistance) at home without paying a huge amount. This one fit the bill!The Good:- Works great and gives the same workout as the rowing machine at the gym- Bluetooth connected to the GMWD app (called “Fit Show” for some reason) and the app works great- The included display works fine and has a lot of features- The construction seems fine. It’s solid and stable so far.- The instructions are fine and everything makes sense.The Less Good:- Putting the unit together was tricky. Note the metal legs don’t line up perfectly and require stretching a bit to bolt on, I believe this is by design. Don’t tighten the screws all the way until all screws are in, then tighten them all. The legs will stretch to fit the rails.- Putting the machine together would have been easier with two people, I did it by myself with the tools provided.- I needed a size 14 wrench for two of the bolts that was _not included_ with the kit. They gave me a 7/10 and a 17/19 wrench. So keep in mind you may need some of your own tools to complete the install.The unit is the same size as any you may have used before, make sure you have enough space for it. I’m 5′ 9″ and there is a lot of range left for the seat to move back when I’m fully extended.TLDR: The unit is amazing for the price, just be patient when putting the machine together.

Cost effective rowing machine for an amateur
This is a great and cost effective rowing machine. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a casual rowing machine without breaking the bank. Assembly is fairly easy, everything is neatly packed, and the instructions are straight forward. It’s hard to mess up the assembly of the machine although some bolts are in fiddly areas. Functionality wise, it’s great, you can separate it into two pieces for easy storage. I find it fairly durable, the metal doesn’t feel flimsy, and for the price you really complain, it’s far better than other machines in a similar price range. The display is barebones but one would only need it to keep track of their stats, but if you have a fitness app that works just as well.

Almost perfect!
So the rowers is great! Couldn’t ask for anything better, BUT the screen is terrible. It does not accurately track your distance, even the smallest pull will be 6 meters and if you pull as hard and as fast as you can, still only 6 meters. Also I dont see a split time on the screen, kind of hard to navigate. I normally just put my tablet up there and watch a video workout. The app is ok not great, only used it twice then stopped. So if you dont need a great screen then this rower is perfect for you, its durable and good quality, a bit weird to put together but once you do its solid! Especially with the metal chain!

I enjoy this rower, much more than I thought I would, it has very strong materials and build quality. I was a couple of patient hours to assemble but it wasn’t that difficult. The final steps of the build process where you join parts to the fly wheel part is the most difficult part. That weight of the flywheel is difficult for a single person to balance, align attachment parts & the bolt holes and then put the bolts in and start the nuts, so this part, get a 2nd helper if you can. It you balance and align the bolt holes it’s not too bad. It comes apart in the middle intentionally to put away, and it does take some practice to learn how to latch those two parts together when you want to use it again but not more than a few times until you get the hang of it.All said, this is among the best money I’ve spent in a long time.

Very disappointing experience – would not recommend
I was really looking forward to using this row machine, but unfortunately it turned out to be a big disappointment. When I received it, the screen didn’t work at all – completely dead. On top of that, the two main pieces of the machine didn’t fit together properly, which made it impossible to assemble and use.I reached out for support and had several issues trying to resolve the problem. It was frustrating and time-consuming. Eventually, I was able to got a refund, but the whole experience was just not worth it.I definitely would not recommend this machine to anyone. Poor quality and not worth the hassle.

Excellent Air Rower!
The rower is great quality and functions very well. The unit is very smooth and stable during intense sessions.The resistance/ tension is even throughout the pull. Assembly is very straightforward with the provided instructions. It took me around 30 minutes to fully assemble. Similar to a concept 2 for a fraction of the price. The Customer service from GMWD has been phenomenal, and I can not recommend them enough.

Just starting out and don’t care about the data, BUY THIS MACHINE.
If you are looking at this unit because you do not want to spend $1000 on the only brand Reddit recommends but you do not want to commit that amount of money to something you are worried about sticking with, BUY THIS UNIT. The main brands patent expired many years ago and this is a true Chinese made dupe. The resistance is the same, the accessories are interchangeable and for casual at home users, I expect this to hold up well. I will comment again after 6 months.This does mean; the places where plastic are used, it is cheaper plastic. Cheaper steel is used in many places that aluminum would be used, so this unit is heavier. As items break you can use most of the main brands to replace them on this unit.This unit does need a bit more assembly.The biggest difference and will be a deal breaker for anyone that cares about data is the screen, distance measurements and being unable to see the drag factor. Due to these items you will never be able to compare you data to those that have the main brand.Every stroke, regaurdless of strength behind the drive, the drag and damper settings is 6 meters and the corresponding calories. If I remember, I’ll add a video. Due to this I recommend using a heart rate tracker and using that data for the workout.
