Well made and a great price
I wanted a collapsible, lightweight and durable pole to be used as a wading staff for fishing. I wanted aluminum over carbon fiber for durability in rocky situations. These poles are well made, extend and collapse with minimal effort. The price for these is well below the dedicated collapsible wading poles marketed for fishing and you get a pair instead of just one. These do not come with a lanyard, as the wading staffs do, but a lanyard is easy to make. If you buy these poles for fishing you might want to consider making or buying a pouch to wear on your belt that has semi-rigid sides to make it easier to remove and insert the pole with one hand. They do come with individual bags for storage that can be attached to a wading belt, but these bags are bit more difficult to use one handed, since they collapse when nothing is in them.

Sturdy
These work well , easy to use and are sturdy. I prefer using one but glad I have 2. I recommend them and the price is good. I used to have ones that folded in half and they would stick out of my back pack. This trifold fits perfectly and doesn’t take much space.

Bought this for my elderly MIL because she wanted to start walking on her physician’s advice, but she wobbles and occasionally falls. She was using tree limbs from the yard to keep her balance, and we knew we needed to improve upon this. Once we figured out how they assembled, we just sized them to where she felt comfortable and left them that way. They seem pretty strong; she put her entire weight on them getting up out of her chair, and they were locked in the same position as before. They looked much more safe and efficient than the tree limbs she was using. NOT A CHANCE she will be able to figure out how to assemble them on her own, though. If they ever fail, I’m sure we’ll hear about it. Half a star off for the missing instructions, and another half star for the likelihood that we will be called out at some point to “fix” it.

Good for an added twist to walking and/or hiking
Good for walking and balance. Easy to adjust their height, are lightweight and easy to use provided links and videos. Good to help with walking and improving balance. Videos of proper technique help you adjust to coordinating your arms with your feet to walk smoothly on different surfaces, including uphills and downslopes. Great exercise for your arms too. These are foldable and packable for travel, but may need to be checked in luggage for flights since they have sharp tips under their various choices of protective rubber tips for different surfaces. Good price for a good set to learn and use whether in the neighborhood or for hiking the trails.

these are perfect for me! I have bad arthritis in both ankles and wrists. Because of this, I have to walk with some form of support but cannot lean heavily on my wrists. So these are a wonderful alternative to crutches or canes.

small and light and easy to assemble
These trekking poles will fit in my small 22″ roller bag (I hear that trekking poles have to be in checked luggage though). They are lightweight, easy to assemble and disassemble and have only one adjustment point which can be tightened by hand, if needed. They are skinny and so feel less supportive, although I think they are just fine. They are great for the price and will work will for travel. The hot pink color is fun.

Terrible
Terrible! The bungees between the pole pieces didn’t have any elasticity so the pole didn’t stay together. It also kept sliding down from the top. My advice… buy a high quality brand.
