This is a LONG-TERM review. I ordered this in 2022 and have used it now for about 2.5 years. I am extremely, extremely satisfied. For reference, I am a textbook laser hair removal candidate, according to previous professional laser hair removal consultations: medium to fair skin tone, with coarse, dark hair. I have used this on pesky, persistent facial hair that resisted previous professional treatments (sideburns, chin, lip, jawline) as well as under the arms, lower belly, and legs. Initially I treated every 3 weeks, and now I treat every 6-8 weeks. I dry shave my face and conventionally shave my underarms, legs, bikini area, etc,. and then treat with the laser. My primary goal was to eliminate the facial hair, as it caused a great deal of discomfort — acne, ingrowns, self-consciousness about my appearance, etc. In short, I was miserable and really overwhelmed with how to treat this. Fortunately, this routine has eliminated about 99% of dark hairs on my chin, and completely eliminated my “extended” sideburn, upper lip, and jaw regrowth. My skin has improved immeasurably; it is clear, blemish free, and over time I have even seen a reduction in hyperpigmentation because of the lack of prolonged irritation. I cannot recommend this enough for people seeking permanent facial hair removal! I will continue to treat until the device no longer works, because I am still seeing minor improvements over time.I have also had excellent results on my legs and underarms as well, but the hair here has always been thicker, and so my results are not surprising, but I would be satisfied if this had been my primary goal as well. I now only need to shave these areas about once a month, and even then, my hair is softer, finer, and lighter. This has had excellent side benefits I hadn’t anticipated. Not only is there a reduction in irritation from less frequent shaving, but in general, my skin has improved simply because of the improvement in my hair texture. I used to get uncomfortable ingrown hairs in these regions; now, I no longer get any. I also have seen an improvement in skin tone, reduced chafing, etc. Because my hair is so dense (pretty much everywhere on my body), these results took TIME. The vast majority of the success was in the first year, and now after 2.5 years, I feel like I look exactly how I had originally hoped. I would never have been able to afford professional treatment for this duration — after an initial round of 6 treatments, I decided to try this at-home option, and it has been more effective than I could have hoped.TLDR: This device is very effective, especially for folks with high contrast hair/skin, and will save you thousands of dollars in professional treatments. It will work very well for any area, and is very easy to use. It may take a little longer than you think for certain hair types (like mine), but it is absolutely worth it. This device literally changed my life. I don’t even wear makeup anymore — I love the improvements it has made to my skin as well as the hair reduction.

Practically a folliculitis cure
TLDR: I have had folliculitis for all of my life. This is the best thing I’ve ever used to treat it. Read further for detailsFolliculitis is basically extreme ingrown hairs, and for 25+ years I’ve done my best to treat and deal with it. I have it everywhere that hair grows. Yes, everywhere. I’ve tried nearly everything in a reasonable price frame. Different shavers/creams/lotions, epilators, waxes, etc – I’ve even coated all my legs in toothpaste to dry out the infections to show my desperation. You can actually find me reviewing Tend Skin aftershave because it has been the best treatment, thus far, for helping me. It’s basically rubbing alcohol, but it’s the only thing that works.Before buying this I would say my recent schedule is shaving once a month. I still get ingrown hairs the entire time, but not with the searing pain of shaved legs that feel as if they’ve been cut by jagged glass. Not shaving at all isn’t much different, as hairs shed and regrow I still have this issue with infections from hairs that can’t break the top layer of my skin. When I do shave I go through at least 7 disposable shave heads (between how fast they dull and trying to reduce the infection spreading) and it takes well over an hour to do the whole thing.I was scared to try this because of how many infections and sores I deal with regularly. I spent an hour plus shaving a months worth of hair off, and before applying tend skin I went to work with IPL (per instruction), I used this product. It wasn’t that hard to get the hang of tbh, keeping it flat and also not pressing into the skin really helps. Throughout the whole thing it didn’t hurt in the slightest, but I had one tiny birthmark that it stung a little (not the beauty marks tho so that’s weird), and I avoided my ankle tattoo altogether.I’m not sure why, but my skin felt better after the treatment than it does applying tend skin (aftershave). It felt relaxed and unirratated for once. I mean, when I shaved my legs they had that “jagged glass was here” feel, but after using the IPL, it didn’t have that. In fact, I had to remind myself to not get careless and I should use tend skin for the long term effects, it gave me a false sense of comfort.I’ve been using this for well over a month now with beyond amazing results. Before shaving would take an hour plus and at least 7 shaver heads. Now it takes less than 20 minutes and 2 heads. I can complete the entire IPL process in less amount of time than I spent just shaving alone a year ago.I want to stress something. There has been one time in the last 10 years that I shaved within a week, and it caused so much pain and I have pictures showing how badly it hurt (the worst ever). Since I started IPL – I have been shaving once a week and have had the best results on my legs *ever*. I still get sores occasionally but not nearly in comparison. It is crazy to me how slowly, or not at all, the hairs have grown in since I started this. My bikini line is nearly non-existant. I’m not even on week 12, I’m on week 6 maybe? I have never once in my life had “smooth skin”. It’s always been tacky stubble, even after a fresh shave. Not now. I have — days later — skin completely devoid of hair and soft and smooth. It’s honestly the first time ever for me. Seriously at 40, this is the first time for me.Even if this treatment didn’t permanently remove hair, that doesn’t matter that much to me. What it has done for me thus far is literally LIFE CHANGING – and I don’t use that term ever. I could use this once a week while shaving my legs and even if it never stops hair from growing in it permanently, what it does inhibit would be an improvement for me – but thankfully it does deliver on stopping hair growth as well.

Antes de comprar leí reviews, y efectivamente si funciona, solo hay que tener constancia, pero básicamente 6 meses después ya casi no tengo vello, es muy fácil y rápido utilizarla , se que en algún negocio que se dedique a esto dirán que la luz ipl no funciona, pero si funciona solo que es más lento que el láser , y lo puedes hacer desde la comodidad de tu casa
