Daydreamer Is A Dream Come True
I am in my forties, I live an active lifestyle, and I need help with my skincare at times. Spending my time working, cleaning, and going outdoors for exercise and more has really taken a toll on my naturally dry, maturing skin. Just showering, applying makeup, and removing makeup can zap your skin as well. Over the past 5 years or so, I’ve noticed a lot of texture on my skin that wasn’t there a decade or so ago. I have deeper smile lines around my mouth, more fine lines around my eyes (along with the beginning of what we all know as Crow’s Feet), and I suffer from sensitive skin that turns red at the slightest touch or nudge. Overall, it feels like my skin is dying of thirst for better skin care ingredients. To date, my main line of defense when it comes to moisturizers have involved ingredients that might be more suitable for a more youthful complexion, such as aloe, jojoba, and shea butter. While there’s nothing wrong with those hydrating active ingredients, they don’t seem to be doing it for my skin anymore.My skin is important to me! I do have acne prone skin, which adds to my skincare woes. I definitely need some new products that won’t clog my pores. All in all, it feels like I have a tall order for my new skincare routine: hydration that smooths the texture on my face and turns back the hands of time, even if ever so slightly.I decided to order the Eight Saints Daydreamer Natural Face Moisturizer, to fill the need for a daytime moisturizer in my routine. I really wanted to see what the benefits would be for me, as I am on a budget, like many of us are nowadays. I truly only want to buy what is going to work for me consistently, andI also need it to be available. With supply chain shortages, it’s been difficult to rely on some companies – but not Eight Saints. To observe those benefits in the most fun and scientific way, I decided to take before and after photos.What specifically drew me into Eight Saints Daydreamer? I’d love to take a moment and reflect on that. As I said, I’m middle aged now, and unfortunately, things are starting to go a little south, sag a little, become dull, and dry up and wrinkle and a little more than I ‘d like. I know the Eight Saints took their name because their skincare products are all formulated with eight special active ingredients, nicknamed the “Eight Saints.”Antioxidants describe other naturally occurring vitamins and minerals that give an extra electron back to your skin, after UV light, smog, and cigarette smoke rob your skin of its tone and brightness. Antioxidants even out your skin tone, help your skin glow, calm redness and inflammation, and prevent sagging and wrinkles. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that hydrates and firms skin. Vitamin C, a powerhouse antioxidant, brightens dull skin and evens skin tone by boosting collagen production, and reducing hyperpigmentation of the skin as we age. Eight Saints uses sodium ascorbyl phosphate, also known as SAP, which is an effective and stable form of vitamin that does not break down over time, and does not irritate the skin.Peptides are the building blocks of collagen, which is needed to give your skin structure, support, and elasticity, and to give it that supple appearance that bounces back from day to day wear and tear. Collagen itself is too large a molecule to pass through the skin’s barrier to where it needs to go, so adding peptides to your routine is the only way to topically introduce collagen building blocks to your skin. Eight Saints has a proprietary two-protein blend called Matrixyl 3000, which prompts your skin to produce elastin and collagen.MSM, short for methylsulfonylmethane, is the acne-fighting ingredient that I’ve been looking for. MSM is a naturally occurring “glue” present in all of us, and it keeps our skin intact, holding those collagen building blocks together. Making our skin’s barrier more permeable, MSM promotes the absorption of nutrients by our skin, and helps detoxify skin through our pores. Vegan hyaluronic acid, derived from plants, plumps skin to hold up to 1000x its weight in water, giving skin the maximum hydration benefit to restore plumpness and obliterate fine lines.Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) are a group of active ingredients that gently exfoliate the skin, and Eight Saints picked plant-derived glycolic acid as their star exfoliating ingredient. Exfoliating the top few layers of skin will unclog pores, lessen acne, and improve skin’s natural glow, while evening skin tone. Non comedogenic vegan squalene, extracted from olive oil, helps the skin retain its moisture by protecting the skin barrier.It was this combination of eight active ingredients that grabbed my attention and compelled me to try Eight Saints. After reading all these explanations on their very helpful website, I felt as though I was a more informed consumer, and that I could trust the ingredients in their skincare. I feel as though Eight Saints has selected the optimal ingredients for my dry, sensitive, maturing skin, and that they truly considered my skincare needs and routine. There are some amazing ingredients in their products that I would have previously shied away from combining, but Eight Saints formulated these products to be used together, gently, as a complete routine with no concerns about ingredient interactions.So what was my first impression of Daydreamer natural moisturizer? I can’t wait to share that with you! This product arrived packaged in a slim, recyclable cardboard box fitted with cellophane to protect its contents, complete with ingredients printed on the side along with its cruelty free logo and expiration date of 6 months from opening. What impressed me right away was that I had so much control with the small nozzle pump that I was able to only pump out what little I needed for my face that morning. This pump was responsive, and if I only wanted to dispense a little, instead of a full pump, this delivery system gives me that satisfaction. Not only does this feature cut down on waste, it protects Daydreamer inside the tube from oxidation by ambient air. This tube is much more preferable to the open jar that daytime lotions are often sold in, as those wide open jar mouths allow for all sorts of breakdown of ingredients over time. It’s also more sanitary to not have to stick your fingers directly into a jar of lotion repeatedly. I’m quite pleased with the delivery of my new face lotion!What a magical experience of scents and soft touches it was to apply my Daydreamer lotion! After serum, this lightweight, luxurious lotion massaged softly into my cheeks, forehead, and neck. It absorbed quickly, so I could move on to the next steps in my skincare routine: sunscreen, primer, foundation and the rest of my makeup. Time is of the essence! Oh, the scents were transformative…immediately I was whisked away to a bright, sunny, citrus morning, complete with traces of orange and lemon. I picked up another scent, also pleasant and refreshing, and I thought it was juniper at first. I see now that Eight Saints uses frankincense oil in the Daydreamer, for its antiseptic properties to fight bacteria while reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Eight Saints also added arnica, an active ingredient that cuts down on redness and discoloration. Geranium and Ylang Ylang also grace us with their gentle, calming, skin-loving properties!As I mentioned, I wear makeup daily. There’s always a concern with new skincare as to whether it will do well with your primer, foundation, color corrector, and concealer. I’m here to tell you that Daydreamer lotion did not cause any pilling, separation, or breakdown of my foundation and other face products, even after a 12 hour day that includes going out for a daily walk in the warm sun, and house cleaning. I did not need to add any extra setting powders or sprays because Daydreamer did not loosen or disrupt my makeup in any way.After trying Daydreamer for 8 days, I took some “after” photos to see my complexion’s progress, and I was overjoyed! After only 8 days, I can see a visible and dramatic improvement in how harsh my fine lines and wrinkles are, around my eyes and mouth. The smile lines framing my mouth are less pronounced, more smooth, and yonder looking. My skin’s overall glow has blossomed, as my skin tone has evened out, eliminating dullness, sallowness, and redness. My skin feels more supple, a little more firm, and responsive when massaged. There must be a better flow of nutrients in and toxins out, as I can see my skin has become healthier.As for my acne, anyone who has battled acne knows that it’s a long haul when you commit to new skincare products. Keep in mind also, that during the first few weeks of a new acne treatment, your skin may erupt and break out a little more in response to the sloughing off of dead cells, exposing new layers of skin, and leeching out built-up dirt and debris. My acne has responded in this way; right after starting Daydreamer, I had some whiteheads, which during the course of treatment popped and deflated. I haven’t had any new whiteheads develop since I started using Daydreamer, and that makes me ecstatic! I know now that my skin is repairing because of the helpful natural ingredients in Daydreamer, and soon these dissipating red bumps will disappear completely, and my complexion will smooth out. Daydreamer is billed as a soothing, smoothing moisturizer, so it is living up to its claims!In closing, I have had a very favorable and rewarding experience with Daydreamer Soothing Moisturizer by Eight Saints, and I highly recommend it to you all!

I love this moisturizer so much! This is a staple for me along with the Chase the Sun. I wear this during the day and apply the SPF as needed.I’ve used this before in the past and loved how smooth is glides and nourishs my dry skin. I finally bought the larger option and I’m obsessed! I recently discovered it cleans my eye makeup during application without a formal removal. It gently dissolves my mess and makes me look and feel ready. Even when I skip my HA in the morning, my skin feels hydrated and primed.I love reapplying it during the day, I’m sure I don’t need to but with my aging skin in my 40s, it feels so hydrating and smooth and the beautiful Vitamin C scent refreshes my face.

Great every day general moisturizer!
I have been using Eight Saints Daydreamer for about two weeks and I am impressed. My dry, easily irritated skin feels soft and hydrated all day with no greasy residue. It absorbs instantly, feels lightweight, and has a very light citrusy scent that I like but it completely fades in about a minute. Love the natural ingredients like hyaluronic acid and vitamin E. My complexion already looks plumper, calmer, and fine lines around my eyes are softer. Feels luxurious for the price and has zero harsh chemicals. This is now a permanent part of my routine. Highly recommend for sensitive or dry skin.
