Brümate knows what they’re doing. I purchased this one, the Resa, and two other cups from this brand. I can honestly say ANY of their cups are genuinely worth every penny.For the Resa: After intentionally pushing my bottle over several times, the locking mechanism is in fact 100% leak proof. You just have to be conscientious and remember to turn it to lock and not leave it on open! LoL. Every part of the bottle (the metal straw, the hard plastic top with special locking system, the thick strap and the smooth outer skin) is made of high quality parts and feels sturdy yet still looks nice. It holds a lot of water (35 oz capacity) and drinks stay cold for a long time. I tend to prefer a side handle for my thermos, but the strap is so well made and comfortable that it’s actually better to use, less bulky than a handle. It comes in various colors and sizes to choose from, which is nice. Everyone’s preferences are different. That said, I would definitely recommend this over other leading brands, which leak despite their cost. Price is good. Product is great!

I am OBSESSED with Brumate! wasn’t a water tumblr person at ALL (I owned none except free ones that I get from events) until this Resa and here’s why…Color: I originally got the dune color, then the sage for my fiance. The colors are DARKER in person, but I actually ended up really loving that for the dune color especially! The colors on the Amazon and on the Brumate website makes it look pale or like a neutral white, but it’s actually dune as they say. As in, it’s white if the sun is shining on it, and slightly soft pastel pink like the sand when the sun hits it at sunrise. I love it. I included a couple pictures attached so you can see what I mean. I don’t really like pure white cups because they are so common, so this beige/light pink color was a nice change. The sage is also darker in person (and not a pastel sage).Leakproof: Like many of the reviews say, it’s truly leakproof IF you use tighten the cup all the way and turn the locking mechanism to the U at the top. I also learned that you have to use the straw attachment it comes with, otherwise it won’t be a perfect seal for some reason. I learned this when I was washing the straws on both the Era and Resa and it leaked when I turned it over (to test), so just keep that in mind!Stays cold: Stays cold for at least 24 hours. I haven’t tried longer just because I always end up finishing my water before then. I’ve also never tried hot liquids in it because I use it for water only.Easy to clean: Everything can be taken apart, especially the silicon base! I loved that because it gave it a nice soft landing when you set it down, felt nice to hold, and prevents scratches from happening.Ergonomics: LOVE the handle. I always end up carrying my bag, phone, and keys in my hand so if I had the side handles (which the Era does), I wouldn’t be able to hook my hand through like I could on the Resa. It’s also less heavy in general if you carry from the top-handle.Accessories: this is not needed because it’s leakproof, but I got the straw caps separately from Brumate to have an exact color-match and also because I can’t stand knowing bacteria and dirt will get on the straw when I’m traveling. The cap is MAGNETIC which is brilliant, so I won’t lose it!Conclusion: I loved my Resa so much I bought the same color for the Era for home, and so I can swap them out when I wash and dry one! I actually drink more water now too because of the straw. I feel crazy that I might actually get more than two colors, maybe to five.. someone help me… all that to say, it’s so great so brace yourself if you take the chance to buy one.Improvements/Asks: A 25oz with the side-handle would be nice. Currently there’s only a 25 oz Resa or a 30 oz Era and it’s just slightly too heavy to carry 30 oz on a side-handle tumblr. Also wish the straw caps came with this (or didn’t always sell out on Amazon) and wish you could purchase the silicon straw top piece separately in case it breaks. Currently the only option is to repurchase the whole bottle…

Faulty first cup, replacement cup is perfect!
This cup checks all of the boxes when it comes to my ideal reusable cup! I love the color, the soft handle, the leakproof option, the silicone cover on the bottom half & I also love that the straw is metal and easy to clean!My first cup was awful, each sip had so many air bubbles it was like drinking the last sip of water left in a cup. This was extremely frustrating as I treated myself to this cup to bring to the hospital with me to stay hydrated while delivering my baby, so the few days I spent there, this cup was terrible when I needed water for meds and to stay hydrated throughout my delivery. I reached out to Brumate directly & followed their troubleshooting checklist which did not fix the problem whatsoever. I sent them pictures (by request) and they assured me they would send me a replacement unit, however once I sent my order info, they advised me to return on Amazon since I was within the 30 day window. I was a bit weary because I wasn’t sure if I actually had a faulty cup or if this was the norm and for the price tag, I expected better. However, it was surprisingly easy to fix this issue with amazon. I was able to select an option to receive a replacement and return the faulty cup within 30 days which I appreciate. I now have packaging to return my initial cup to UPS without having to worry about figuring that out. Very pleased with Amazon on the return operation.So happy to share that the new cup sips smoothly and is 100x better than the faulty cup I received at first. I am super satisfied with this purchase and tossed my dented Owala in the trash. The magnetic lid is awesome too when paired with the straw covers. This is the perfect cup to me & I would recommend to anyone. Just be weary if you receive a cup that seems faulty, it should not be that way and there’s simple ways to fix the issue.

Der Becher ist wirklich hochwertig verarbeitet und liegt angenehm in der Hand. Er hält Getränke lange warm bzw. kalt und überzeugt durch sein modernes Design. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt: Durch die Öffnungen im Boden bleibt nach dem Spülen in der Maschine immer etwas Nässe zurück. Ansonsten ein super Produkt, das ich definitiv weiterempfehlen kann!

I bought this because of one of the youtubers that I watched. Well its claims are false it does leak. I put the water bottle in my laptop bag right side up and it leaked make it make sense it wasn’t upside down. Returned it so quick and got Contigo water bottle for much cheaper and it doesn’t leak.
